Yarra Park car park closed for AFL Rounds 19-21
To prioritise patron safety due to the unstable state of the grassed paddocks and help improve the condition of the heritage-listed Yarra Park following recent wet weather, parking at the MCG is closed for matches during Rounds 19, 20 and 21.
Parking is only available for ADP permit holders who have already pre-purchased a Ticketek parking pass.
The MCC is committed to prioritising the safety of all patrons while managing the parklands.
AFL matches affected during Round 21 are:
- Collingwood v Geelong Cats - Thursday July 30
- Richmond v West Coast Eagles - Sunday August 2
Parking availability for future matches beyond Round 21 will be communicated on this page, as well as on the MCG parking page.
Alternative Parking Options
Patrons requiring parking are encouraged to pre-plan alternative parking or travel arrangements, with a list of nearby parking locations listed below:
- Melbourne and Olympic Parks Eastern Plaza Car Park
- 11 Exhibition Street
- Flinders Gate Car Park, 172-192 Flinders Street
- Collins Place Car Park, 28 Flinders Lane
- Federation Square
- 34-60 Little Collins Street
- 114-128 Flinders Street
- Metered on-street parking is available around the Fitzroy Gardens, the Botanical Gardens and along the Yarra River
Patrons who have already purchased a pre-booked ADP permit car park option for a match in Rounds 19-21 via Ticketek will receive communications directly via Ticketek regarding alternative arrangements.
THE G-TRAIN MOBILITY SHUTTLE SERVICE
Patrons with mobility challenges can utilise our free mobility shuttle service, the G-Train. The G-Train route includes MCG entry gates, Jolimont Station and Richmond Station.
Pre-booking is not required to use the G-Train service - simply wait at the designated pick up point for the next available buggy.
