About

The next Long Room Wine and Food Society Lunch will be held in the Long Room on Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 12:15pm for a 12:45pm start.

The function will feature wines from Scotchmans Hill - the oldest and largest winery on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria. Our guest speaker for the lunch is Chief Winemaker, Robin Brockett. The wines will be complemented by a menu selected by Delaware North and Wine and Food Master, Michael Ellis.

Scotchmans Hill Winery is one of Australia’s leading cool climate wineries and has been producing premium wines on the Bellarine Peninsula for more than 40 years. They are renowned for their elegant Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz and will be showcasing their flagship Cornelius range expertly made by Chief Winemaker Robin Brockett with fruit sourced from the very best of the estate’s vineyards.

More Info

Chief Winemaker, Robin Brockett has been at the heart of Scotchmans Hill for almost four decades. Joining the winery in 1988 as Vineyard Manager after working in New Zealand's wine industry, Robin became Winemaker in 1990 following his Oenology degree from Charles Sturt University. Under his leadership, Scotchmans Hill has grown from a single label into an acclaimed portfolio, including the prestigious Cornelius range. A passionate advocate for the Bellarine Peninsula, Robin has played a pivotal role in establishing the region as one of Australia's leading cool-climate wine destinations. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the industry, Robin was inducted into the Geelong Wine Awards Hall of Fame in 2023.

The Long Room Wine and Food Society holds monthly luncheons in the Long Room on the last Wednesday of each month and has been doing so since its inception in 1987.
